Bespoke framing and fine art prints
A picture can be transformed, by a change of shade to the mountboard around it, or by releasing a picture from an old or constricting frame, to become something new and refreshed, as is demonstrated here, from examples of work brought into Orchard Frames and worked upon, to create an entirely different piece of art work.
Here a collection of photographs have been dry mounted and framed with an inner slip or second frame, to echo the black and yellow colours of the driver.
The dry mounting also flattens out any folds or bubbles in the photograph which may have caused by adverse handing
This quite exquisite piece of needlework was taken off the embroidery ring, pressed and then stretched. To frame it, depth was required, to allow the beautiful pansies in the bottom left quadrant to retain their three dimensional quality, so a fillet was used, to raise the gilt edged mount from the work, and thus keep the glass from flattening such wonderful stitchwork. It is indeed something that will give great pleasure for years to come.

From this stage, after some lengthy discussions and thought, framing progressed from this sample to .....
....this
Here it is, in the final framing idea, with glass on the front and three sides, in order to really be able to see and fully appreciate its exquisite beauty
And from the front, though the reflections of the mount board samples added rather too much extra!
Finally, here it is, being carefully packed away, to be taken home and admired, as a truly lovely work of art.
